Can curly and afro hair not be washed with shampoo?
It is true that curly, frizzy and afro hair needs special care, but does it also apply at the time of washing? Some people argue that shampoo dries this type of hair very much and should not be used. No, it doesn’t!
The real secret is not to abolish shampoo, but to use a shampoo suitable for this type of hair.

Preferable: shampoos that contain oils in their composition, such as olive, baobab, sunflower oil. the presence of these substances ensures more efficient hydration and eliminates the drying up of the hair strand.
Which ones to avoid: anti-residue shampoos that open the cuticle a lot and let the nourishment out easily. This does not mean that they cannot be used: they should be used in moderation, such as-if necessary-only every 15 days.

A simple recipe that helps maintain hydration is to place a small amount of hair oil or conditioner on the ends of the hair before washing it. In this way, during washing, the oiliness of the hair will not be totally lost and better hydration will be maintained.
Washing frequency
The fact that curly hair is usually drier than straight hair is normal; this is because the oiliness produced by our bodies takes a longer way to reach the full length of the hair, due to the spirals of the curl.
