The reason for the fall is mainly genetics and hormonal factors, related to the ovaries and thyroid gland. In a milder but still important way, causes include an inadequate diet, low in nutrients and minerals such as iron, or stress that produces cortisol, a hormone that decreases the body’s immunity and causes the fall.
Hair loss is therefore more related to endogenous factors, thus generated by one’s own body; the solution must come from “inside” to “outside,” consuming foods rich in biotin for example. Daily behavior is also important: do not tie up damp hair for example so as not to cause seborrheic dermatitis, which by attacking the scalp causes both hair loss and breakage.
Excessive use of certain accessories, such as hats, can affect hair health because they stimulate the production of sebaceous glands, making hair oily.
